We've always had a huge garden but we are busier and older now so a large garden isn't possible. I really wanted a strawberry bed but the bending and weeding are more than I can do these days. This raised patio garden bed from Driftsun is perfect for me! I can have my strawberry bed and not have to weed or bend over. I can walk out on my deck and easily access my mini garden of strawberries! It is also perfect for flowers, other vegetables or herbs.
The garden bed is just the right height to be both attractive and easy on the back! It doesn't even require any tools to assemble, we had it together in minutes which I loved! The bed even comes with the liner but the liner doesn't hold water which is a plus. The liner is there more for keeping the dirt in place than anything and I appreciated it being included so that I didn't have to try and line it myself. If you didn't want to fill it with dirt you could easily set pots inside the bed to make a very attractive display and make changing your mind next year a breeze, lol. I haven't gotten my strawberries planted in it yet as the rain just won't give me a break but they are ready to go in as soon as I get the husband to put the dirt in, lol.
If you have limited space, back problems or just want the convenience or look of a raised bed, then I would highly recommend this garden bed and know I will be using mine for years. Now I need enough of them to go all the way around my deck and I can have a mini garden without the huge amount of work! Overall, I was impressed with the quality of the wood, the ease of assembly and the countless uses this box offers. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this garden bed to anyone looking for a well made raised bed.
