Quality construction and so easy to use that even us crafty ladies can use it!
I got this tube cutter for my husband since it seems he is always needing one and the little one he had just didn't work well. I have to say that I was intrigued when it first arrived and well, I just had to try myself, lol. First of all, I noticed a huge size difference in his cheaper tube cutter and this one. My husband also commented that he was impressed with the size and sturdiness of this tube cutter. Capri Tools made this tube cutter so easy to use that I cut my first piece of pipe ever! We had a race to see who cut their pipe first, me with the Capri Tools tube cutter and him with his cheap tool cutter. Guess who won?! ME!!! Hands down my Capri tube cutter cut the pipe in half the time and with a much smoother edge than his. I was excited both to win and to have been able to it all by myself! I had a perfect cut piece of pipe in seconds! The weight wasn't an issue, as a matter of fact, I think it not only makes for a well-made tube cutter but aids in the cutting. The handle that you turn was just the right size to fit you hand comfortably and was super easy to keep the cutter tight. I didn't try the deburring portion since we didn't have anything other than a pvc pipe for me to play with. If and when your blade gets dull, should be a long time unless you're a plumber, the company gives you a spare blade! Overall, my husband is super happy with this tube cutter and I can see some crafting projects in my future now that I know I can cut pipe from 1/4" all the way up to 2 3/4".
