Very sturdy and easy, fast opening and closing umbrella!
My husband is not real fond of my girly umbrellas so I decided to stop torturing him and get him an umbrella he would be more comfortable with and that I could use also, lol. While this umbrella will take a bit more room than a straight handled one, I find the hook feature has its advantages. With the curved handle, I find that I actually feel like I have more control and a better grip than with the slick plastic straight handles. The curved handle is also coated and doesn't slip when your hands are wet. The other thing I liked about the curved handle is that it was much easier to hang than trying to open the wet string that comes on most other umbrellas.
One word of caution, I did jump just a tiny bit when I first opened the umbrella automatically. Talk about fast! Wow, it was so fast to open and close that it did startle me but now I'm good since I know what to expect, lol. I really like how fast it is to open and close, less water hitting me while I'm trying to close it and get into the truck! The umbrella feels very sturdy and well made, don't let the wrinkles throw you off, that happens but in no way affects the durability or quality of this umbrella from Rainbrace! I haven't tried it in a wind storm but with the quality of the frame, I don't doubt it will hold up well. Overall, I and my husband are super happy with this umbrella and feel it would even be suitable for gift giving. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this umbrella to anyone looking for a stylish, easy to use umbrella. I was provided a discount of the product for my honest unbiased review.
