We have been having problems with something sneaking up at night eating all our dogs food. We live out in the country so critters coming up at night is not unusual. I wanted to find out what it was and not harm it. This trap is not only made of quality parts but is so simple to use. Just lift the door, put the hook of the arm on the right side in the slot, put some bait at the end of the cage and your all set! Some live traps are difficult to get set but not this one. I literally had it ready in 30 seconds. We got our first (I'm sure there's more, lol) thief last night! Our little thief was a beautiful raccoon. He wasn't too happy about being in the trap but the trap worked perfect and the raccoon was fine other than hurt feelings. The trap has a protected handle on top for easy carrying without worrying about being scratched or bitten. We took the little guy to a protected wild life area and released him. I'm sure his friends will show up sooner or later for a quick meal or a opossum, yep we've had them sneak up at night too, but I can now capture them safely and with no harm to them, then take them to a more suitable location where the can live a long happy life protected from hunters! Oxgord did a great job constructing this live trap and I know we will get years of use out of it! I received this product at a discount for my honest unbiased review.
