I found the material to be sturdy and waterproof. It was very easy to set up, just open and strap it to the top of your vehicle, load it and your all set. I did a test also with our truck where we used it in the bed of the truck to protect our luggage, we did run through a down pour of rain and had no issues with anything getting wet. We used the straps to connect to the inside of the bed of the truck and it never moved. I like that when we were finished, I could fold it up of easy storage without taking up a lot of space. It is easy to clean for storage. If your going on a trip or just need to protect items when perhaps moving then this roof top cargo carrier from Winterial is a great choice.
