No more forgetting to change my smoke detector batteries!!
If you are like me and always forgetting to change the batteries in your smoke detectors until they drive you crazy beeping, then this smoke detector from Heiman is the answer! Another thing I dislike about the regular battery smoke detectors is that if you want to know for sure your batteries are good, you have to push a button and endure the horrendous beep! lol This smoke detector comes with a 10 year built in lithium battery so you can install it and forget it for 10 years!! You don't have to push the annoying test button, unless you want to, to know it is working because of the lighted LED that will flash about every minute to let you know it is on duty. The LED light is not bright enough to be bothersome at all, you'll probably never even notice it unless you happen to be looking up at it. It is extremely loud so I don't foresee being able to snooze through it, I had to push the button, lol. Heiman gives you everything you need to install it right away. You get the mounting plate, screws and the wall anchors then you can have it installed in just minutes. The unit is a little smaller than my present smoke detectors which I really like and is heavier making it feel like a much better quality. I feel safer, don't have to worry about dead batteries, don't have to drag out the ladder to change my batteries and know that for at least 10 years I can rest easy.
