Insect and moisture free food storage set nice enough to leave on the counter!
While plastic does have it's place, I have always felt better when using glass for storing. Since glass doesn't retain any odors and I feel can be cleaned much easier, this set of glass food containers were the perfect solution for storing my food items. The glass is a nice thickness and although I have yet to drop one, the glass feels thick enough to withstand a normal drop that didn't involve a sharp object, however, as with anything glass breakage is always a possibility. The lids close by simply putting your thumb on top and pressing down, put the lid inside and let go, you're food is sealed and ready to store. The lids have a silicone ring that lifts slightly when pressing on the handle, then when you let go it expands to form the seal. This set of storage jars can hold everything from food to crafts and look nice enough to leave out on the counter. I like knowing that my food is safe from moisture and bugs! Having the clear glass containers also lets me see exactly what is inside and how much without having to even touch them to find out. Kitchen Meister has combined convenience, safe storage, and quality glass all in one set. If I could change anything, it would be a color choice on the lids but that is a personal preference. The set of food storage jars come nicely packaged which makes them easy to wrap for gift giving. They would make a lovely house warming gift, shower gift or even a Christmas gift for anyone.
