This is one set that will be in my kitchen for years to come!
This set has just replaced so many utensils in my kitchen that couldn't match the quality of this set by Oishi! I wasn't overly excited to recieve them as I thought they would be the usual quality, you know the type that works great for the first few uses and then either get tossed to avoided. Not this set!
You will feel the difference the moment you open the package and hold one in your hand. They a have a super sturdy feel to them and each one is coated with silicone so they are safe for your non-stick pans! It's not just the handle of this set that is stainless steel but the entire utensil is stainless steel and the handles and working ends are covered in a good quality silicone. They can withstand heat up to 440 degrees making them the best silicone utensil set I have come across.
Most of my silicone utensils start out nice and sturdy but loose the firmness after only a few uses. I have used the spatula 4 times since receiving it and it is in as good of a shape as when the set arrived. My old spaghetti server always got weak as the heat hit it but not this one, it held firm even being left in the hot water for a few minutes.
The set also features flexible ends allowing you to have better control and as with the spatula, you want a little flexibility on the end to ad in getting under your food and Oishi has created that. The handles are super comfortable and even with my hands wet, I never once felt as if I didn't have a safe secure grip on it. Something I didn't notice straight out of the box was the cute heart cut out on each hand for hanging along with the hearts on the strainer, what a cute touch to a classy set!
This set is now my only set I'm keeping in my kitchen and all the second class utensils have now been retired to a box awaiting their trip to the donation center!
