Beautiful, unique, easy to install and works perfectly!
I was in need of a new faucet, in my opinion, lol. Although my kitchen faucet had a lifetime warranty it still was a pain to have to look up my receipt, call and try to get parts replaced. I decided I was tired of the hassle and constant problems with my other faucet and decided to try another brand. This faucet from Aquafauct caught my eye right away! The first thing that grabbed me was the unique design, nothing like I had seen at our Lowes or Home Depot where there really isn't much design choices. The price was the next thing that caught my attention, it was priced much less than my older faucet!
I was excited when the faucet arrived in perfect condition and packaged well. I knew by the pictures it would only need one hole whereas my sink had 3 holes pre-cut but that was an easy fix as I choose to use my existing base plate. You'll notice in my pictures that the faucet is sitting on top of my existing base plate causing it to be just a tad taller than normal. I thought about getting caps to plug the sink holes but I liked the look I got from using my existing base plate. With most sinks having the cutouts, you can either cap them or buy a base plate. Our hardware stores don't sell them but Amazon does! How you choose to deal with that is all up to you!
As far as the installation went, it was simple, quick and easy. Everything we needed, with the exception of tools, was right in the box and Aquafaucet even included extra washers. My husband had my new faucet up and working in just under an hour but about half that time was taking the old faucet out. Everything fit perfect with our existing water lines and I was very appreciative that they included new 12" water lines since our previous faucet had plastic lines and the ones that came with the faucet were braided stainless steel lines!
Once all installed and ready for use, I loved how tall the faucet was! I normally have to set my stock pot down in the sink or on the counter to fill it but not with this faucet. I can sit it on the sink divider and fill it easily! The handle is so smooth and easy to maneuver that you'll only need one finger to work it! I didn't have any problems getting the water temperature just right since the handle has a nice sensitivity along with the ease of adjusting it. The top portion comes out to give you a nice extension to use the sprayer to spray around the sides of the sink or for whatever reason you might want to pull out the faucet. You can easily switch from a stream of water to the sprayer with the simple flip of the switch located on the very front of the faucet head. I loved the switch and how simple it was to use as my old faucet required me to give a nice hefty push to switch and was difficult to work.
I was also impressed with the underside of the faucet head, why? My old faucet had a rubber ring with holes for the sprayer and this one is all metal! The entire faucet is nice and has a good weight to it, much heavier than my more expensive faucet and feels much better made. I am so happy that we installed this faucet and not only do I have a faucet that is very functional, easy to use but looks awesome! The finish matched my base plate perfectly and shines beautifully! I can't wait to show it off and would not hesitate to recommend Aquafaucet to my friends and family! I was provided a sample of the product for my honest unbiased review.
