Works fairly well but I was disappointed.
While the Weed Zinger seems to be a well made product, I found it disappointing for a few reasons.
It states no more bending, however I am 5' 7" and found I did have to bend to use it. I also found it to actually be more work than just grabbing the weed and pulling, I can sit down if there are a few together. I didn't like that I had to first line up the prongs to the center of the weed, step on the pedal, twist the weed zinger counter clockwise and then you get the weed. Too many steps to go through for a weed that I can grab and pull out. One other negative I found is that you have to wait until you get a good rain before you can use it, to me that kind of defeats the purpose. I can pull weeds whether the grounds is wet or dry yet can only use the weed zinger when the ground is wet.
I tried pulling some weeds and found it more time consuming using the device that other methods. If you don't get the prongs released in time then you end up with a weed stuck on the end and it's difficult at best to get it off. *See the picture with the weed on it, I had to wait for my husband to get home to get it off since I wasn't able to do it myself*
On a positive note, I do believe this would be a solution for someone that has very few weeds, doesn't mind waiting for a good rain to pull them or has back and/or leg problems.
The weed zinger might also work for some elderly people that only need to pull a few weeds. Another thought is that kids might find it a little more fun to pull weeds with this device if you make a game out of it.
Overall, this is not something I will be using as I find hand pulling weeds much faster, easier and just as effective. I was provided a sample of the product for my honest unbiased review. My opinions are my own and are not influenced in any way.
