The terrible odor that makes me afraid to use them!
I really wanted to fall in love with these disposable placemats from MistryWorks especially since I had recently purchase construction eating utensils for our grandson. I am still on the border as to whether to toss them or take the time to thoroughly clean them before letting him eat off them. The first problem and most critical is the horrible chemical smell that is still on them even though I have tried to air them out for 3 days! I have no idea if it comes from the plastic or what but I am afraid to let him eat off them. The next problem is that once you remove them from the package, there is no putting them back easily. They all come folded together and you're left to fold them individually. I would love to see them without any odor and packaged for convenience, maybe in a pop-up container much like baby wipes to make carrying them more convenient for parents.
To their credit, however, the design is great, colors vibrant and any little boy would love them. I didn't have any issues with removing the strip from the adhesive and repositioned one several times to check how well it would perform and after 3 times, I still had perfect adhesion. I'm afraid I cannot recommend these placemats with the listed issues. I was provided a discount or sample of the product for my honest unbiased review. I test each and every product I review.
