Our ceiling fan just recently stopped working and it being in a vaulted ceiling, the thought of even trying to replace it was enough to make me look for alternatives.
We run a fan all year long when sleeping so it has to work great and not generate a lot of noise.
We decided to give this wind fan from Ozeri a try and I have to say we couldn't be happier! To heck with that broken ceiling fan, it has met its match and been replaced by the Ozeri 42 inch wind fan.
This wind fan puts out much more cool air than our ceiling fan ever did! I love that we can set it to run from 1 to 12 hours and then it will shut off automatically. The remote is a really nice added feature, you can keep it bedside or store it in the top of the wind fan. Even if you should misplace the remote, not to worry, because you can control the fan and all it's functions via the control pad on top of the fan. Ozeri even thought to give the control panel/remote holder a nice smoke colored cover to protect it from dust!
There are 3 different speeds and 3 different patterns to choose from so you get the perfect flow of air to suit your needs. It can also be used stationary or osculating. The fan takes up very little room and looks sleek and stylish allowing it to complement and decor.
We used the included extension to reach the maximum height which requires the 4 included screws and a phillips screwdriver. If you aren't using the extension, then there are no tools required. Even though we attached the extension, we still had it together and running in 10 minutes.
We love our wind fan and may never replace the ceiling fan, lol I would purchase this fan again!
